Royal opening of Keep Living Suite
On March 13, Her Royal Higness the Princess Royal opened Pressalit Care’s teaching facility at Brunel University outside London. The facility delivers two fully equipped rooms with kitchen and bathroom solutions for the physically disabled, all provided by Pressalit Care. This will give the students the opportunity to have a very authentic training. The official name of the premises is the Keep Living Suite, and it provides teaching facilities for Occupational Therapy students.

The Keep Living Suite is a part of the collaboration between Pressalit Care and the London School of Occupational Therapy at Brunel, which is an internationally recognized institution with over 500 students. The Keep Living Suite gives the opportunity to demonstrate the equipment available for the disabled, and to assist the students into developing skills of assessment and intervention.

During her visit the Princess Royal was introduced to employees from Pressalit’s English subsidiary ESL Pressalit Care plc as well as to a group of students, who showed a cooking exercise to demonstrate how Pressalit Care’s adjustable kitchen solution, the Indivo system, can benefit people with disabilities.

Following the royal visit, CEO at Pressalit Care, Erik Boyter, said: ”It was a great honour, that Her Royal Highness the Princess Royal showed such an interest in our work. It was a tribute to everyone committed to creating a better life for people with disabilities. We look very much forward to pursuing a fruitful working relationship with Brunel University and the Division of Occupational Therapy.”
